I just picked up a new 2021premium forester on tuesday and have $500 voucher to spend on parts/accessories/service and was wondering if upgrading the mirrors to auto dimming is worth it. If you’ve ever driven at night, then i’m sure you’ve been in a situation where somebody’s headlights are just bright enough or just at the right level, creating an awful glare in your rear view mirror. Thus, it achieves glare reduction or dimming.

It can tell when bright lights are shining on the surface of the mirror. It enhances visibility at night which is otherwise hampered by glares from other vehicle lights. The catch is that the interior auto dimming mirror is required to get the exterior option, but that is also worth the $$$.
